The Joyfully Together trip in Viet Nam deepened my connection to Thay's homeland in a significant way. To visit all the places he speaks and writes so often about filled my heart with joy and gratefulness. I could touch the suffering of this country in a very healing way - and also the suffering of my own home country, Germany, which has so many things in common with Viet Nam. And I could also touch the joys like spring so warm: the joy of the people, the wonderful countryside, the beautiful coast, the green mountains...
And last but not least I would suggest to rename this mobile retreat: "Joyfully Eating Together in Viet Nam"! Never have I eaten such tasty meals in my lifetime!
